We support our customers by understanding their needs and creating solutions to ensure their students and families are transported safely.

As a School Bus Attendant for Drivergent Transportation, you will work as an on‑board partner with the school bus drivers – you will monitor student safety and behavior, helping with boarding students, lead bus evacuations during emergencies, and stay up to date on school district policies. The bus attendant is vital to ensure that the bus driver provides a safe transportation service that complies with school district guidelines and gets each student to their destination.

These positions typically operate out of our own independent terminal location, and not a district partner facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safe and reliable transportation of students
  • Adhere to all school district rules, regulations and policies
  • Ability to manage and maintain all students on the bus in a calm and safe manner
  • Report to duty on time and maintain routes on time but in a safe manner
  • Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency
  • Inform all appropriate personnel of problems/procedures
  • Keep the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable
  • Always present a neat and professional personal appearance
  • Maintain a professional attitude with parents, students, other staff members, fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers
  • Safely and efficiently utilize vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment
Position Requirements

  • Ability to tolerate stressful situations
  • Able to understand and have empathy for children and persons with disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work outside in various climates and weather conditions
  • Proficient in English sufficient enough to read road signs and communicate with personnel
Minimum Requirements
  • Age:
    Minimum 18 years of age
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED required

  • $15-$17 per hour
