To provide quality services and expertise on issues ranging from program design to intervention with individual students within the scope of their professional training. Staff members who fill this position will support the social/emotional growth of students. They will update, maintain, assist, and train others on the MTSS, Family Support, Student Support Service Referral system, and Community Resource processes for their region.
The Social Emotional Generalist will link child-serving and community agencies to the schools and families to support the student's academic, emotional, behavioral, and social success. To provide on-site direct support to the site staff and students in the overall management and operation of the school, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. Assist with a wide range of tasks, including overseeing student discipline and fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Physical Presence:
Must be able to maintain a regular on-site presence to effectively support students, collaborate with colleagues, and fulfill the responsibilities of the role. While virtual work may be permitted based on specific site needs and work responsibilities, the ability to be physically present at designated locations as needed is essential to the successful execution of this position's duties.
- Monitor, respond, and maintain social emotional referrals via social work referral forms.
- Maintain a focused caseload of identified high risk students in need of an extra layer of support.
- May provide service hours surrounding social emotional IEP goals under the supervision of the Social Emotional Coordinator
- Maintain professional involvement in the crisis response, and threat assessment teams as needed.
- Respond and assess student social emotional referrals based on student need.
- Participate and support weekly POD/Family Support meetings within their region.
- Monitor, maintain, and utilize GOAL social emotional data tools (Student Support Service referrals, Needs Survey, & MTSS) to help identify student needs as well as communicate needs with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a high level of communication (both verbally and in writing) with GOAL staff, students, and parents to deliver program information and address student needs when it comes to Support Services.
- Participate as an MTSS team member through training the MTSS documentation, processes, and Family Support Implementation.
