About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Ag & Commercial Loan Officer to join our Sterling market team. This position is designed for a proven lender with demonstrated success in commercial and agricultural lending, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to grow and manage a quality loan portfolio. The role may be filled at the AVP, VP, or SVP level, depending on experience, performance history, and depth of market expertise.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Develop, originate, and manage a diverse loan portfolio including agricultural, commercial, real estate, construction, and consumer loans
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service
- Analyze credit requests and ensure sound underwriting
- Participate in loan committee activities as appropriate
- Cross-sell bank products and services
- Maintain compliance with lending regulations and bank policy
- Engage in community and agricultural activities
We welcome candidates with varied backgrounds and experience levels, including:
- Experienced agricultural and/or commercial lenders (SVP level) with 10+ years of Commercial Lending
- Candidates with prior experience in sales, banking, credit analysis, or financial services
- Individuals with knowledge of the Colorado agricultural industry
- Recent college graduates or early-career professionals interested in starting a career in lending
- Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- General understanding of lending practices and regulations (training available)
- NMLS license or ability to obtain one
Preferred qualifications include a degree in Agribusiness, Finance, or Accounting; knowledge of agricultural lending; and NMLS license or ability to obtain one.
Salary Range: $95,000 – $150,500 annually, dependent on experience.
