Sterling Regional Med Center is looking for a full-time Associate Director to oversee the Surgical Services Department in Sterling, Colorado and East Morgan County Hospital in Brush, CO.

The Surgical Services department does primarily general surgery, laparoscopy, endoscopy, athroscopy, and extensive orthopedic surgeries. This team is highly focused on providing the best patient outcomes and a quality of care that is unparalleled for the community and surrounding areas. In this position you will oversee the daily operations of the OR, manage productivity and efficiencies, order supplies, provide team building, and oversee scheduling, quality assurance, financial oversight, accountability, and timecard management.

Since 1938, Sterling Regional Med Center has been the center of healthcare excellence in Northeast Colorado providing care for more than 20,000 members in Logan County, and over 50,000 people in its larger market. Sterling Regional Med Center is licensed for 25 beds with both Medical/Surgical and Intensive Care Units, as well as full Women and Infant Services. For obstetrics, Sterling utilizes a computerized intelligent OB program designed to reduce the chance of complications during labor.

As a level III trauma designated hospital, Sterling has 24/7 coverage for Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Imaging, Family Medicine/Peds, and Rehabilitation. Sterling boasts cutting edge technology facilitating telehealth access for sub-specialty and tertiary services and state-of-the-art equipment in Imaging, Laboratory, Operating Suites, Emergency Department, and Inpatient Units. The hospital continues to invest facility upgrades and new equipment.

Attached to the hospital is the David Walsh Cancer Center
, which provides both Medical and Radiation Oncology, with a beautiful infusion center and new linear accelerator. Sterling Regional is the only rural hospital in Colorado with a linear accelerator. In addition, Sterling Regional Med Center is closely integrated with our Family Medicine and Surgical Specialty Clinics and the hospital and clinics are part of a 2-year, rural training track residency program affiliated with the University of Northern Colorado.

Position Summary

This position provides managerial and clinical support to patients and staff. Uses depth and breadth of clinical management knowledge to ensure the provision of high quality, safe, and cost effective patient care. Demonstrates clinical expertise and oversees the leadership of clinical, financial, and personnel management of the assigned areas.
