SummaryThe Sales Teammate position’s primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement: “To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Sales teammates perform a variety of sales, merchandising, and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and store upkeep. Training is provided, so prior experience is not required.

Sales Generation and Guest Service- Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, consistently delivering legendary service.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on guests’ needs.
- Anticipate and fulfill guests’ needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobe experience.
- Demonstrate products using knowledge and sales education, sharing this knowledge with teammates.
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales, promotions, payment policies, and security practices.
- Remain consistent on personal sales and seek opportunities to impact teammates’ presentations with the Sales Presentation Guide.
- Achieve personal sales‑per‑hour, average sales, and total net sales goals set by store management.
- Provide service throughout the store – Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register area.
- Assist guests with fitting and try‑on.
- Check out and bag purchases.
- Prepare merchandise for alterations.
- Know all exchange and return procedures, turning these into showmanship opportunities.
- Use the Sales Presentation Guide daily to accomplish goals.
- Meet or exceed performance standards across key Buckle business builders and guest loyalty metrics.
- Place special orders or call other stores to find desired merchandise.
- Build good guest relationships to develop a client‑based business.
- Maintain knowledge of Buckle’s customer service expectations to meet guest needs.
- Lead by action and maintain high standards, even when manager is absent.
- Identify recruiting opportunities using Jobs & Careers cards, email referrals, and teammate recommendations.
- Build relationships through Guest Loyalty and Guest Preferred programs.
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude, creating a positive floor culture.
- Present merchandise to maximize sales and achieve optimal turnover.
- Stay current on product range.
- Collaborate with teammates and guests on product improvements, new ideas, and feedback.
- Ensure the sales floor is consistently sized and new freight displayed appropriately.
