Bilingual Member Service Representative:
Sterling, Illinois

Our customer in Sterling, Illinois, is looking for a service-minded, detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Bilingual Member Service Representative to work full-time on 1st shift. In this role, you will support members by processing financial transactions, resolving questions, and delivering friendly, professional service in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities of the Bilingual Member Service Representative:
  • Independently maintain and balance an assigned cash drawer.
  • Process routine member transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check disbursements, and general ledger postings.
  • Handle member questions and problem resolution using independent judgment, ensuring member satisfaction.
  • Recognize when issues should be escalated to appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Comply with all regulatory and compliance requirements related to deposit accounts.
  • Respond to member inquiries in person in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Handle coin machine operations, including changing coin bags and performing simple maintenance.
  • Process mail and night drop transactions.
  • Maintain knowledge of credit union products and services to answer basic member questions.
Bilingual Member Service Representative Requirements and

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong customer service skills and a service-focused mindset.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

$16.00/hour.

Type: 1st Shift, Full-time.

Schedule:

Hours of operation are 8:45am – 5:15pm. Schedule will fall within this timeframe, with rotating Saturdays from 8:45am – 12:15pm once fully trained.
