Production Lead

Coordinates shift operations, ensures production targets, equipment maintenance, and quality standards are met. This role supports team development, participates in smooth communication across shifts, and acts as a bridge between the production team and management. J

Pay Range
: $21.57 - $22.98

Work Location: On-site (Sterling, IL – Main Building)

Shift: 1st shift

• Supervise and coordinate daily shift activities to ensure efficient production.

• Perform equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting to resolve technical and quality issues.

• Assist with machinery operation as needed to support production flow.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of production records and documentation.

• Maintain communication between shifts and with management to ensure continuity.

• Reassign team members as needed to meet production demands or cover absences.

• Inspect materials, products, and machinery to ensure quality standards are met.

• Lead process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

• Guide the team in interpreting processes and policies to ensure compliance and improve performance.

• Assist with data collection and reporting on production metrics.

• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.

• Education:
  
  High School or GED

• Perform work under minimal supervision

• Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff

• Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter

• 4+ years of experience, including experience driving powered industrial equipment

• Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
