Position: EHS Site Lead [AS-15035]

A leading industrial manufacturing organization in the greater Sterling, IL operations environment is looking to add a EHS Site Lead to its plant leadership team. This person will be tasked with driving a best-in-class safety culture while ensuring full regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. The role offers strong visibility, ownership of the site EHS strategy, and the opportunity to influence both systems and people development.

It is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned EHS professional to lead impactful change within a structured manufacturing setting.

The Role
  • Lead all site Environmental, Health & Safety programs, including strategy development and execution aligned to corporate and regulatory standards
  • Drive the EHS pillar within a World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework to improve safety, sustainability, and operational performance
  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards through audits, reporting, and continuous system improvements
  • Oversee risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions while leveraging data to identify trends and reduce exposure
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs, coach leaders, and build organizational capability to sustain a proactive safety culture
  • Direct and mentor 1 direct report
The Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3+ proven experience leading EHS programs within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards (including 14001/45001) and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and influence teams across multiple levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving continuous improvement
