* ** Position Summary
** The Assembly / Machine Operator is responsible for assembling components and operating production equipment used in the manufacture of light-duty and heavy-duty products. This position requires attention to quality, safety, and productivity standards while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

** Essential

Duties & Responsibilities *
* + Perform assembly operations using hand tools, fixtures, jigs, and light power tools.

+ Operate manufacturing and production equipment according to established work instructions.

+ Assemble mechanical components to customer specifications and bill of materials.

+ Inspect parts and finished products for quality and accuracy.

+ Fit, align, adjust, and calibrate components to required tolerances.

+ Identify and report defective materials or equipment issues.

+ Troubleshoot minor mechanical or hydraulic assembly issues.

+ Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance as required.

+ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

+ Support team goals related to safety, quality, and productivity.

** Qualifications*
* + High School Diploma or GED preferred.

+ Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine operation, or production experience preferred.

+ Ability to read and interpret work instructions and production documents.

+ Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures and micrometers.

+ Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

** Physical Requirements*
* + Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds with lifting assistance when available.

+ Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.

+ Perform repetitive motions involving hands, arms, and wrists.

+ Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.

+ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

** Work Environment*
* + Manufacturing/production facility.

+ Fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

+ May require overtime and flexible scheduling based on production demands.
