What You’ll Be Responsible For- Leading month‑end close and day‑to‑day accounting operations
- Managing project cost accounting and financial reporting
- Preparing and analyzing Work‑in‑Progress (WIP) schedules, including over‑/under billings
- Overseeing customer billing, contract billing, progress billing, and change order processes
- Partnering with operational leaders to monitor project profitability and financial performance
- Reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Supporting cash flow forecasting, audits, and internal controls
Supervising and mentoring accounting staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in project‑based accounting environments
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and project accounting
- Experience with contract billing, progress billing, and change order processes
- Experience with percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- ERP experience such as Sage 300/Timberline, Viewpoint, Foundation, or similar systems
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
