As an Automotive Tech‑Apprentice, you’ll kickstart your career in automotive repair while working in a state‑of‑the‑art, climate‑controlled facility. You’ll gain hands‑on experience repairing and reconditioning vehicles to meet the highest safety and quality standards, ensuring every car is ready for our customers. From engine diagnostics to steering and suspension adjustments, you’ll develop skills that set you apart in the automotive industry.

• Develop expertise in automotive repair across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles
• Collaborate with skilled technicians to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Perform engine diagnostics, suspension adjustments, and HVAC repairs under expert guidance
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean workspace in alignment with Car Max standards
• Meet deadlines and deliver high‑quality results that exceed customer expectations
• Follow Car Max Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area

• Basic knowledge of automotive repair and eagerness to learn advanced techniques
• Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina, including ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license

• Hourly Rate: $21.60 - $42.60
• Eligible for commission
• Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time. Full‑time hourly or commissioned associates earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year and between 80 to 200 hours of vacation time after a 90‑day waiting period, based on continuous service. There are also 6 paid scheduled holidays and 1 floating holiday per year.
• Full‑time salaried associates are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit as needed, subject to manager approval.
