Nightwing is seeking a cleared and experienced Travel Coordinator in the Fairfax, VA area.
Responsibilities- Track the program’s deployment schedule(s) and arrange safe, cost-efficient airfare for all program team members while being compliant with the Fly America Act and program policies.
- Make scheduling recommendations to create efficiency, value and economies of scale.
- Create and track Electronic Clearances and reconcile the monthly corporate airfare credit card.
- Initiate Visa/passport requests, create official correspondence cables, e-memos, and respond to emails coordinating field itineraries.
- Plan, research, and arrange/book travel airfare itineraries per program TDY schedule and IAW policies and procedures.
- Make flight alterations after business hours and adjust itineraries for members already deployed.
- Track schedule and adjust TDY’s accordingly as destinations can change frequently.
- Provide airfare cost savings to the program and customer and conduct monthly reviews to identify cost per project reporting.
- Use customer and program databases and spreadsheets to record, track, and report travel-related information, schedules, cost data, etc.
- Submit and track requests for VISAs and passports.
- Create Electronic Country Clearances (eCC) for each country of destination for each team member prior to deployment.
- Track all eCCs to ensure approval from post and mitigate any countries’ eCC concerns, communicating such concerns to senior leadership.
- Escalate eCC approval delays to the appropriate Project Officer based on region.
- Maintain global geopolitical awareness of all countries and current conditions.
- Assist in reconciling accounting of travel-related expenses/accounting.
- Excellent communication skills verbally and by email.
- Advises/recommends travel airfare itineraries for the customer.
- Provides airfare cost savings to the program and customer.
- Conducts/participates in monthly reviews and identifies cost per project reporting.
- Use customer and program databases and spreadsheets to record, track, report travel related information, schedules, cost data etc.
- Submits and tracks requests for VISAs and passports.
- Experience scheduling and managing OCONUS travel requirements.
- Knowledge of government travel policies and procedures.
- Strong communication skills.

6+ - Education Level/Major:
Bachelors or equivalent experience. - Must be a US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph from day one of employment and be crossover eligible.
