We are seeking a highly motivated, full-time Office Manager to support various departments at VMSI Headquarters in Sterling, VA. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be extremely organized, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently, and can interact effectively with internal team members, clients, and vendors.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Serve as the Vice President/FSO’s primary support resource for managing priorities, coordinating tasks, and ensuring timely follow-through.
- Research, analyze, and resolve business operations issues of varying complexity; present findings and recommend practical solutions.
- Provides broad administrative and operational support to the corporate Operations department, ensuring efficient coordination of daily activities and departmental needs.
- Processes bi-weekly and monthly payroll.
- Administers multi-state payroll tax accounts in coordination with HR Manager.
- Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping to include, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger balancing.
- Contacts vendors and agencies to ensure corporate compliance, investigates and resolves accounting related issues, etc.
- Assists with tax planning, payments, and inquiries.
- Compiles data, tracks metrics and generates reports using a variety of data sources.
- Supports contract management & vendor agreement activities as assigned.
- Monitors vendor deliverables and schedules to ensure deadlines are met and milestones are achieved.
- Track and maintain corporate property logs.
- Administer security program to include coordinating and processing employee security forms for all background and clearance levels.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure new hires are onboarded quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
- Researches and solves moderate to complex personnel and NISP-related security issues.
- Participate in other projects as requested by management.
- 3-5 years’ progressive experience in a fast-paced small to medium sized business.
- At least 2 years of GOVCON (Government Contractor) most recent experience preferably with a small to medium sized company supporting an array of administrative and financial tasks and projects.
- Expertise in MS Office Suite of products.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to communicate effectively, written and spoken, with leadership and peers.
