Job Overview
Senior Project Manager – responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of multiple small‑to‑medium projects or a single large project. You will lead and manage a team of project managers and assistants to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
What You’ll Do- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate boundaries and document them in clear, concise work statements for the field.
- Effectively supervise the day‑to‑day administration of a job or supervise two or more Project Managers in their daily tasks.
- Train and supervise Project Managers in company philosophy and systems.
- Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project.
- Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.
- Train and effectively supervise a Project Assistant in maintenance of project‑required tracking devices.
- Maintain liaison with the prime client and architect/engineer to facilitate construction activities.
- Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.
- Investigate any potentially serious situation and implement corrective measures within company guidelines.
- Represent the company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, and others.
- Prepare monthly costing reports.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts – progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses – to protect the company’s interests while maintaining a good client relationship.
- Experience managing electrical construction projects.
- Accountability and initiative for all aspects of the project’s success.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and knowledge of electrical systems and construction.
- A determination for planning, innovating, and improving daily processes.
- Ability to think outside the box, lead the team in innovative construction techniques and prefabrication strategies.
- Strong leadership skills, business acumen, and integrity.
- Understanding of the financials of a project and how to forecast.
- Ability to build and foster great relationships with the field and stakeholders.
- Collaboration with multiple stakeholders to achieve mutual outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; PE license is a plus.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and required methods.
- Experience mentoring and managing others.
- Business development and heavy client interaction a plus.
- Ability to follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with computer programs and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
Oracle and Accubid preferred. - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and a team player.
- Professional interaction with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.

Working ConditionsPosition performed primarily on active construction sites; may involve sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work conducted indoors with varying environmental conditions (fluorescent lighting, air conditioning). Noise level is usually low to medium, but can be loud on a job site. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
