Position:
Project Executive
The Project Executive is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for both strategic and day‑to‑day operations related to construction, project management, and project administration activities. This role has overall responsibility for maintaining budgets, timelines, and profitability for assigned projects and supports the implementation of corporate policies.
Responsibilities- Provide operational oversight in client management, procedural issues, financial and reporting issues, and workforce planning and analysis.
- Actively manage workload, professional development, and client development skills of project management staff.
- Promote positive customer relations by dealing professionally and fairly with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Initiate, execute, and document a quality job start‑up meeting for your project(s).
- Manage and maintain “Strategic Partner” subcontractor and vendor relationships, including verification of timely payment.
- Perform monthly project reviews with project teams to ensure adherence to schedules, quality, safety, administration, and profitability.
- Analyze available and qualified personnel and assign specific projects to meet needs.
- Assist the PMs and Superintendents with resolution of specific issues and requests.
- Manage customer relations and change‑order negotiations.
- Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
- Represent the company at project senior‑management meetings.
- Schedule, facilitate, and document project close‑out meetings.
- Verify project data sheets and photos (with client’s permission) for completed projects.
- Must possess utmost personal integrity and ability to lead an organizational culture of collaboration.
- Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel);
Accubid and Oracle experience preferred. - Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities as necessary.
- Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective team player.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- PE license preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
- Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
- Proven experience mentoring and managing others.
- Business development or heavy client interaction a plus.
- Combination of education, training, and relevant experience is acceptable.
10 – 25% travel required.
Working ConditionsThis position is performed primarily on active construction sites. Activities include sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending, and occasional lifting of up to 30lbs. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting, air conditioning, and a noise level usually low to medium; may be loud on the jobsite.
