We are growing and looking to add an Estimator to our team! You will be responsible for determining the cost of construction projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents. The Estimator will estimate the quantities of materials needed, labor costs, and equipment expenses, often negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices. This role also prepares detailed cost proposals and budgets for clients and project managers.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate estimates for concrete work.
- Calculate costs of labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Identify potential risks and opportunities in the estimating process.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment of cost estimates with project requirements.
- Prepare and present bid proposals in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain cost databases and stay current with market trends in pricing and construction methods.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid reviews.
- Ensure all estimates meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Track and update project budgets, costs, and changes throughout project life cycles.
Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating, with specific expertise in concrete and asphalt.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Plan Swift, or similar).
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
