Full Time Assistant Customer Service Manager DLT
Supervise up to 120 associates in the Customer Service Department—including cashiers, baggers, customer service clerks—and the accounting office. Assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Carry out supervisory responsibilities according to Harris Teeter policies and standards. Responsibilities include floor monitor duties, interviewing and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, assisting in performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
Ensure audit items on the Customer Service Store Visit Audit and Loss Prevention Front End Audit are completed. Provide immediate coaching/feedback to associates who are not in compliance with expectations. Perform duties of customer service clerks, accounting office associates, cashiers, and baggers as appropriate.

- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

- Knowledge of HT Internet software, E‑mail, inventory software, spreadsheet software, and Word processing software.
- Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Complete company training, including but not limited to new‑hire orientation, customer service network, safety, customer service clerk technical skills, floor monitor technical skills, and department manager training.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and reach 6‑48 inches; occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and reach 6‑72 inches.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision and depth perception.
- Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold.
- Noise level is usually moderate.

Compensation- Pay rate between $19.00/hour and $29.75/hour, depending on experience and skill set.
Eligible for Harris Teeter’s group benefit plans upon completion of applicable waiting periods. Eligibility is subject to the terms of the applicable plan and company policy.
