We are seeking a full-time Electrical Switchgear – Design Engineer based at our Karachi Office. This work is entirely for US clients . The ideal candidate should possess at least 2 years of power engineering and switch gear design experience and have a proven track record of designing low voltage and medium voltage switch gear.

The successful candidate is expected to be a detail orientated, experienced engineer who can make decisions independently under the guidance of our client team. The focus of the experience must be in the power and control industry associated with switch gear manufacturing and design and is someone who can make AutoCAD drawings of switchboards, component arrangement, understands Busbar sizing/arrangement, wiring and cable layouts with termination and arrangement of the requisite auxiliaries.

The candidate should be able to develop designs based on Form Types and IP requirements. It is an excellent career opportunity for an engineer with a strong technical background and looking to grow into other ngineering roles.

• Develop relevant views and elevations of panels/switchboards, arrangement of components, busbar sizing and arrangement, SLD (single line diagrams), wiring diagrams, control schemes as per project requirements.
• Study single line diagrams, BOQs and all relevant project scope materials and develop technical submittal content for customer approval
• Research component catalogs and technical literature and identify relevant component specifications to incorporate in switch gear/switchboard designs
• Develop well organized project libraries for easy reference in current and uture technical submittals
• Interface with sales and manufacturing teams in all stages of project execution
• Additional duties as assigned and/or directed

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 2-4 years of experience in LV/MV switch gear design.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with clients
• Ability to manage, catalog and organize data
• Expert skills in AutoCAD
• Solidworks 3D software proficiency a strong plus
• Knowledge of ERP systems encouraged
• First-hand knowledge of PLCs a plus
• Strong skills in MS Office and PDF Editing tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks

This role requires flexible working hours. Work is performed during regular Pakistan working hours with some overlap with US daytime working hours.
