About the Role (Summary of project)
Gentis Solutions is seeking an Electrical BIM Manager to join our client’s engineering team in Sterling, VA
. This role supports electrical design and construction coordination efforts across complex engineering and architectural projects.
The Electrical BIM Manager will lead and manage BIM workflows, ensure accurate electrical modeling and documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering, construction, and project teams. Client-specific benefits are available and will be discussed during the interview process.
What You’ll Do (Job Description)- Manage and oversee Electrical BIM execution across engineering and construction projects.
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate Revit MEP and AutoCAD 2D/3D models.
- Support electrical design documentation, coordination, and clash detection efforts.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure BIM accuracy and alignment.
- Manage multiple tasks and deliverables while meeting project deadlines.
- Adapt to changing project priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Support and enforce BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, consultants, and leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience with an architecture/engineering consulting firm or contractor
. - Strong understanding of the electrical construction business
. - Hands‑on proficiency with Revit Architecture/MEP (2010+) and AutoCAD 2D/3D (formal training alone is not sufficient).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and effective in collaborative team environments.
- Ability to work under pressure and interact professionally with all levels of staff.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with Oracle or other enterprise systems.
