Position SummaryJSET Automated Technologies is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer – Controls to support electrical and mechanical building monitoring systems. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning support, and customer satisfaction while working closely with internal engineering teams and end users.
What You'll Do- Provide technical field support, including controls engineering assistance and basic network topology planning
- Support SCADA, BMS, and PLC system design, deployment, and commissioning
- Assist with construction site activities, including system validation, PLC code deployment, and BMS integrations
- Validate sequences of operation, alarm points, and point‑to‑point testing during commissioning
- Troubleshoot and repair controls hardware and monitoring systems
- Complete documentation, daily field reports, and ISA data sheets as required
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an engineering related field or 3–5 years of relevant field experience (HVAC, electrical, controls, or construction)
- 3–5 years of field service experience with industrial controls or instrumentation
- Working knowledge of SCADA, BMS, PLC, and low voltage control systems
- Familiarity with platforms such as Rockwell Factory Talk, Tridium/Niagara, Schneider Electric, Siemens Apogee, Ignition, or similar
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and control diagrams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
- Experience in mission‑critical environments preferred
