Responsibilities
  • Architect and lead the design of advanced mixed-signal electrical systems, emphasizing modularity, performance, and ruggedization for cUAS platforms.
  • Own end-to-end hardware development of scalable systems, integrating high-speed digital designs (including FPGA-based architectures), precision analog sensor interfaces, and robust power delivery solutions.
  • Drive schematic capture and component selection from concept through production, ensuring design quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Provide technical leadership for PCB layout, guiding implementation to meet stringent signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC requirements in high-speed, power-dense designs.
  • Lead electrical analysis and validation in an R&D environment, leveraging simulation and lab characterization to achieve strong first-pass success across SI/PI, EMI/EMC, and thermal performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, product, and program teams, collaborating with both domestic and international stakeholders to align technical execution with program goals.
  • Mentor engineers and influence engineering best practices, design standards, and system architecture decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience designing and integrating complex hardware systems, preferably in cUAS, satcom, defense, robotics, or wireless communications.
  • Deep proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium).
  • Strong expertise across digital, power, and RF domains, including software-defined radio and mixed-signal system design.
  • Advanced knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, and hardware validation/qualification methodologies.
  • Demonstrated strength in system-level thinking, root-cause analysis, and hands-on debugging.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts and tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and drive programs to completion.
