Senior Facilities Project Engineer Security Clearance

Role Overview

Nightwing provides technically advanced full‑sphere cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services to meeting the U.S. government’s most demanding challenges. We seek a cleared and experienced Senior Facilities Project Engineer located in the Fairfax, VA area to support USG initiatives.

• Create, review, and submit customer requirements to the Office of Building Operations (OBO) for new construction and renovations.
• Facilitate design and drawing reconciliation and acceptance with commercial contractors.
• Review construction drawings throughout the construction life cycle, commenting on corrections, adjustments, and changes.
• Serve as the customer representative to the DoS Office of Building Operations (OBO) for infrastructure and project issues.
• Oversee submission, negotiation, and delivery of DoS building permits.
• Manage installation of communications systems that enable long‑haul transport connectivity for posts worldwide, including complex baseband and satellite terminals.
• Lead and manage project planning, technical and procedural oversight, project scheduling, installation oversight, and strategic resource allocation.

• Familiarity with customer systems.
• Familiarity with technical security requirements for national security systems.
• Ability to work independently, without oversight or guidance.
• Expertise in multiple telecommunications systems and associated infrastructure.
• Degree in a technical field: networking, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, information systems, telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
• Additional technical and specialty training or certifications preferred.
• Minimum nine (9) years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; equivalent experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
• Weapons certification not required.
• Professional license or certification not required.
• No OCONUS or CONUS TDY required.
• Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and be a U.S. citizen.
• Travel requirements and duration are subject to customer needs and may vary.
