AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team is a project management and execution team that manages construction activity within the operational data center spaces. The CPI team is tasked with critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling within operational data centers around the globe.

We are currently seeking a Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. You’ll be part of a highly creative, efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating challenges in designing, building, and operating Amazon data center facilities. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for project oversight and review of all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural.

• Oversight of project planning, execution, control, and completion.
• Coordination of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, building automation, and other disciplines.
• Identification of improvement opportunities and implementation of innovative solutions.
• Use of data from other teams and organizations to drive decision making.
• Ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

• 5+ years of construction or project management experience.
• 5+ years managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure in an operational space (e.g., manufacturing, mass transportation, oil and gas, utility, hospitals).
• 5+ years in on‑site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general) and vendor management.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus.
• 5+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering experience.
• Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Base salary range:  –  USD annually (USA, VA, Sterling). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
