Location: Sterling VA - in office as needed, remote flexible
Schedule: M–F: 8am–5pm or 11am–8pm (depends on time zone)
Half-day Saturdays once ramped (8am–12pm), will happen likely once a month
The Role:
We’re seeking an experienced Collections Specialist with a background in third-party collections to manage a portfolio of delinquent accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and achieve recovery goals while maintaining professionalism and compliance.
What You’ll Do:
- Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to collect on delinquent accounts.
- Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, or payment schedules.
- Use skip tracing tools to locate hard-to-reach customers.
- Maintain detailed records in our collections system.
- Ensure compliance with FDCPA, state, and company regulations.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of third-party collections experience (agency or call center preferred).
- Strong negotiation and skip tracing skills.
- Knowledge of FDCPA and related laws.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
