How You'll Make a DifferenceReporting to the VP of Operations/PIC, you will lead the day-to-day operations of Mosaic's pharmacy care team, directly managing the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech Supervisor(s), and Lead Technicians, with indirect oversight of the broader care team of approximately 38 team members and growing.
In this role, you will help Mosaic build repeatable processes and drive staffing, training, workflow, and performance results across a fast-paced, scaling healthcare operation.
Your work directly supports Mosaic's members by ensuring the care team delivers timely, accurate medication delivery and a consistently high standard of pharmacy care.
What You'll Do- Leads and manages the Lead Pharmacist, Pharmacy Tech Supervisor(s), and Lead Technicians, providing direction, coaching, and accountability, and builds a strong bench of front-line leaders.
- Owns hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for the full care team, partnering with HR and Learning & Development on scalable training programs.
- Establishes and enforces workflow processes across order entry, PV1, outbound calling, and export to maximize timely, accurate medication delivery, and partners with the Production Manager to meet ship-by-date goals.
- Oversees coordination with assisted living facilities for new resident onboarding, daily and STAT orders, and cycle prep.
- Manages call center operations and partners with the Call Center Manager to ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution of patient, provider, and staff issues.
- Partners with the VP of Operations/PIC to establish and monitor productivity and financial KPIs, including overtime, per-patient shipments and rework.
- Analyzes operational metrics and staffing models to identify trends and staffing gaps and provides input on staffing budgets and resource planning.
- Partners with the Pharmacy Quality and Compliance Manager on root cause analysis and corrective action plans, and supports a culture of regulatory compliance with BOP, Medicare, LTC, state, and federal requirements.
- Manages on-call pharmacist scheduling to support Mosaic's 24/7 pharmacist coverage and provides backup coverage for after-hours escalations.
- Fosters a positive, accountable team culture that supports staff engagement and retention across a team of this size.
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in a healthcare, business, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing a large, multi-disciplinary healthcare or operations team spanning both leaders and front-line staff; experience managing 25+ FTEs strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and mentor a team of leaders and front-line staff, with strong problem-solving skills and sound, timely decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across leadership, peers, and staff.
- Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, relevant regulatory frameworks (BOP, Medicare, LTC, state, and federal pharmacy regulations).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); comfortable learning and standardizing use of pharmacy operations systems.
- Comfortable operating in a growing, evolving organization where processes and team structure continue to scale.
- Available for full-time, on-site work Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with periodic evening and weekend availability for escalations and on-call support.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company-sponsored visa sponsorship.
Preferred - Prior experience in pharmacy operations (e.g., LTC, mail order, specialty, or adherence packaging pharmacy); candidates with strong healthcare operations leadership from other settings are also encouraged to apply.
- PharmD degree or pharmacist licensure.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or a similar process-improvement methodology.
