Core One seeks a Human Resource Generalist - Associate who will be part of an energetic and motivated team that directly impacts the growth and success of our organization. The Human Resource Generalist has responsibility over the day-to-day activities within human resources. The position will interact daily with the Recruiting staff, Hiring Managers, Accounting, and Program Managers at the Company.
Primary Responsibilities- Maintain day to day benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Oversee and execute new hire orientation, including onboarding logistics, and compliance tasks
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in HR
- Knowledgeable of the HR requirements for a mid-sized government contractor
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
- Data-driven and detail oriented
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work under tight time frames and problem-solve
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Prior experience in government contracting
- Experience with Paylocity
- SHRM or HRCI certification
