User Engagement Systems Engineer

Northstrat is seeking an experienced User Engagement Engineer with a systems engineering background to join an established space domain awareness (SDA) software development program spanning multiple locations.

• Document incidents for operations
• Track status of current incidents and provide status to users
• Inform users of development planning, status, and deliverables
• Manage user expectations on system capabilities and delivery timelines
• Elucidate system functionality
• Develop system tradecraft and user guides to support real‑world operations
• Support operations' transition from a legacy system to a modern architecture
• Provide informal over‑the‑shoulder training to users
• Connect users to the customer for requests requiring approvals
• Connect the customer to site personnel to support software delivery and system integration
• Facilitate on‑site discussions and meetings with system users and stakeholders

• Must have TS/SCI with CI Poly GRAPHIC and be willing to be read into special access programs (SAPs) – no exceptions
• Required more than 5 years of system engineering experience in space systems or related domains
• Experienced in space operations, space domain awareness (SDA)/space control, and indications and warnings

• Experienced liaison between multiple organizations
• Experienced briefing and interfacing with government leadership
• Experienced facilitator of working groups
• Excellent communicator, especially with remote teams
• Self‑starter and self‑advocate as the program does not have a large presence at this site

Northstrat does not mandate specific working hours. Employees are required to work an average of 8 hours per weekday over a month, with flexible scheduling to meet project deadlines.

The IBA provides employees a flexible benefits package. Employees can allocate the IBA for paid time off, medical expenses, prescription drugs, cash disbursement, or a combination of each, with monthly accruals equivalent to 50% of the employee’s monthly compensation.

Northstrat funds a qualifying retirement plan quarterly through the IBA, contributing an amount equivalent to 25% (up to the IRS contribution limit) of the employee’s compensation.

Employees may use IBA funds for reimbursement of work‑related education expenses and participate in company‑sponsored training events.
