Nightwing is seeking a cleared and experienced Systems Integrator/Referent in the McLean area. The role serves as the primary liaison between customer mission support entities and works independently with a team of experienced officers to track communications, coordinate readiness, update Sharepoint, submit travel requests, and provide periodic briefings on equipment readiness.
Responsibilities- Serve as primary liaison between Customer mission support entities.
- Work independently and with a team of experienced officers to track communications and disseminate items requiring attention and coordination.
- Assist in addressing readiness issues impacting the client mission.
- Continuously update the client Sharepoint site and other applicable database activities.
- Submit requests for travel and provide necessary support to begin work.
- Provide periodic briefings on the status of efforts to improve readiness in the field (equipment orders/shipments).
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including Cisco and Juniper routers, firewalls, and switches.
- Use test equipment such as JDSU FST-2802, cable eye tester, multi‑meter, Firebird 6000A, and Digital Lightwave.
- Upgrade and downgrade telecommunications devices using TFTP, FTP, and terminal emulator programs.
- Implement test plans for bench test and system test of equipment and components.
- Interpret interconnect (IC) drawings and wiring schematics of equipment and cables.
- Fabricate and run CAT6 cables and other data cables.
- Maintain knowledge of basic safety practices.
- Knowledge of Customer OCONUS environment.
- Experience coordinating travel, medical, and training for resources traveling to OCONUS field environments.
- Knowledge of accessing, using, and manipulating client databases (assign actions, respond to messages, create and post messages).
- General knowledge and familiarity of field activities and how the client supports these activities (policies, procedures, organization).
- Extensive knowledge of client communication and messaging systems.
- Knowledge of client systems to submit and track supply and equipment orders.
- Understanding of general field IT issues and the project management process.
- Ability to perform calendar management for client leadership (serve as backup when MS is out).
- Knowledge of client mission areas (specifically operations).
- Knowledge of client directorates and their areas of focus.
- Experience setting up meetings, creating agendas, arranging off‑sites, and taking/publishing professional meeting minutes.
- Experience ordering and shipping materials domestically and internationally.
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access).
- Working level knowledge of web products, including SharePoint (user level), wikis, and databases.
- Desired:
Experience as a Senior Operations and Technical Manager. - Desired:
Experience with domestic and overseas IT, telecommunications, and security. - Desired:
Knowledge of field communications. - Desired: OCONUS travel experience.

- Required clearance: TS/SCI with full scope polygraph.
- OCONUS TDY up to 10% (including hazard areas).
- CONUS TDY up to 10% as required.
- Years of experience required: 11+.
- Education:
High School Education (Equal substitution not allowed). - Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in technical field or communications (substitution allowed).
- Not required for hire, but must be willing and capable of becoming certified.
