Enterpise Architect & Project Lead

Nightwing is seeking an Enterprise Architect and Project Lead to support a U.S. Government customer in providing onsite incident response for civilian government agencies and critical asset owners experiencing cyber-attacks.

• Lead the contract technology insertion team and oversee all technology insertion projects
• Lead the end‑to‑end mapping of new technology identification, requirements development, and workflows across all CISA Threat Hunt
• Identify and document inputs, outputs, and dependencies for each phase of new technology insertion
• Develop visual diagrams (process flows, swimlanes, dependency maps) to illustrate how proposed changes impact each section or branch
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to validate workflows and uncover cross‑functional impacts
• Deliver actionable visuals and documentation to support strategic planning, compliance, and operational readiness
• Document current and define future‑state workflows and processes
• Identify inputs, outputs, and key activities for each phase of a project
• Map dependencies between initiatives, systems, and teams
• Create and validate end‑to‑end workflow diagrams and swimlane diagrams with stakeholders
• Analyze impact on each subdivision or branch, identify gaps, and recommend process or system changes
• Deliver final visuals and documentation to leadership

• U.S. citizenship
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) suitability
• 12+ years of direct relevant experience in systems engineering and architecture development
• 6+ years of experience leading engineering and deployment teams
• Knowledge of systems engineering, networking engineering, technical analytics, threat hunt incident response, cloud technologies, and databases
• Experience with cybersecurity attack‑mitigation techniques and cybersecurity architectures
• Experience with Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) processes, Change Management, requirements management, traceability, and associated tools
• Comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines
• Ability to collaborate across agencies and physical locations
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar lean Agile framework
• Agile Systems Engineering and/or development experience
• Dev Sec Ops  or Dev Ops experience

• Experience with architectural views (operational, technical, system/services, business, data, applications, technology) using standards such as DODAF, FEAF
• Experience with software and system lifecycle methodologies (ISO, CMMI, ITIL, Agile, SAFe)
• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS preferred)
• Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800‑37/800‑53 controls
• DHS experience

• BS in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related degree

• DoD 8140 IAT Level III
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
• PMP
• SAFe certification (SA, SP, SSM/SASM, RTE, POPM, SPD, ASE, or SPC)
