Job DescriptionSteel Thread Software, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Platform Administrator who is looking to join a fast‑paced start‑up environment working with both commercial and Government clients. The Platform Administrator is responsible for administration and installation of all Steel Thread and open‑source tools used by Continuous Delivery and Dev Ops customers.
QualificationsResponsibilities:
- Provide expertise and assist customers, developers and partners with design decisions.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and application of updates and patches.
- Plan lifecycle replacement, coordinate outages and performance tuning for applications and hardware.
- Maintain monitoring and data gathering systems for reporting and performance purposes. Work with vendors and open‑source community to address and resolve problems.
- Leverage enterprise LDAP accounts to manage access control and permissions within each individual product.
- Maintain client‑facing and internal knowledge bases.
Skills:
- Deep experience managing configuration and access control in a variety of open‑source build and deployment automation tools including Jenkins, Hudson, Nexus, Sonar, SCM Manager.
- Experience serving as site administrator in support of a large Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) implementation.
- Hands‑on experience working with development teams following SCRUM or XP delivery practices.
- Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) practices with particular strength in Subversion and/or GIT.
- Familiarity with Active Directory and LDAP.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux Server administration.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 2‑3 years of work experience in a corporate development environment.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
