Systems Administrator​/AWS Cloud Engineer​/Linux Engineer - Expert

Nightwing is expanding our System Administration team and is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator/Cloud Engineer to enhance our existing technical team supporting the advancement of Digitization technologies in Warrenton, VA. The successful candidate will be a self‑motivated, innovative cloud engineer who will join and contribute to a team environment. This position requires a broad knowledge of system administration, automation technologies, scripting, security and accreditation practices, and the ability to work with several enterprise resources and teams in the operation of an enterprise digitization infrastructure.

• Must have hands‑on experience with AWS and Linux in a production environment.
• Experience patching and maintaining system’s databases, to include RDS, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• Knowledge of Federated Identity, RBAC, authentication & authorization solution, etc.
• Understanding of secure‑cloud configuration, e.g., Cloud Trail, AWS Config, cloud‑security technologies, e.g., VPC, Security Groups and Access Control (IAM).
• Experience with configuration management, e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Cloud Formation, etc.
• Experience with security, such as NGFW, WAF, SIEM, endpoint security.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced agile environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or equivalency in related work experience.
• Demonstrated on‑the‑job experience working and solving technical problems independently as a system administrator.
• Experience using a scripting language.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor and troubleshoot enterprise workflow applications, including installing, starting and stopping background processes, analyzing log and event files, and patching and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated ability creating and managing a virtual infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, Hyper‑V, or VMWare.
• TS/SCI w Polygraph Required.

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise.
