Position OverviewWe are seeking a cleared and experienced Cloud Engineer in the Herndon, Virginia area to design, develop and implement cloud solutions for globally available applications.
Responsibilities- Design, develop and implement cloud solutions for globally available applications.
- Build and manage complex IT infrastructure centered around MS Windows products.
- Utilize MS 365 solutions, failover clustering, Net App Storage and Linux integration.
- Configure and troubleshoot MS Windows Server operating systems.
- Design failover clusters for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Manage and optimize Net App Storage solutions.
- Integrate and manage Linux systems within a Windows‑centric environment.
- Migrate, configure and manage MS 365 cloud services.
- Automate tasks and workflows using BASH, Python and Ansible.
- Deploy and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform and Cloud Formation.
- Participate in planning, implementation and growth of customer foundational footprint/capabilities.
- Work with architects, software developers and engineers to recommend and design database or data storage solutions.
- Conduct proof of concept (POC) and implement designs in production environments.
- Analyze applications for data integrity issues.
- Design, build, automate and document a multi‑tiered managed service platform.
- Assist with installation and configuration of a cloud management platform.
- Create technical documentation and training materials.
- Minimum 9+ years of professional cloud experience.
- Experience designing, developing, deploying and testing in Azure architecture.
- Strong background with MS Windows Server operating systems, configuration management and troubleshooting.
- Experience with failover clustering, Net App Storage solutions and Linux integration.
- Familiarity with MS 365 solutions, migration, configuration and management of cloud services.
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure, GCP and Open Stack.
- Strong scripting skills in BASH, Python and Ansible.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and Cloud Formation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly paced environment.
- Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of an energetic team.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required on day 1.
- Open to up to 10% OCONUS travel and 10% CONUS travel as required.
BS in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted.

The salary for this position ranges from $99,000 to $206,000 and is commensurate with experience and expertise. Nightwing offers medical, vision and dental insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, holidays and additional insurance benefits.
