Help organizations secure every endpoint. We're seeking an experienced UEM/MDM Engineer to build, automate, and support enterprise endpoint management solutions that keep modern work forces productive and protected.
General Accountability: The UEM/MDM Engineer focuses on the implementation, automation, optimization, and operational support of unified endpoint management services. This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting device management, application deployment, compliance, and security configurations across our multi-tenant and single-tenant environments using enterprise UEM/MDM platforms, with an emphasis on engineering efficiency, scalability, and day-to-day operational reliability. This is a hybrid role, balancing hands-on engineering work with ongoing operational support responsibilities.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Implement and manage enterprise-grade UEM/MDM platforms
- Provide operational support for UEM/MDM environments, including troubleshooting, incident response, and issue resolution
- Build and optimize device enrollment, configuration profiles, and compliance policies for client workloads
- Develop automation scripts for routine endpoint deployment, provisioning, and management
- Engineer and implement application packaging and deployment solutions (Win
32 apps, VPP, LOB apps) for client environments - Implement conditional access, compliance, and security baseline policies across managed devices
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for endpoint management services
- Respond to and resolve escalated support tickets related to device enrollment, compliance, and application deployment
- Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization of UEM/MDM environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for engineering and operational processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of endpoint deployment methods (zero-touch enrollment, OOBE workflows)
- Implement device retirement, wipe, and data protection solutions according to established standards
- Collaborate with the team on both engineering projects and day-to-day operational initiatives
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical endpoint management support
- Contribute to technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Experience and Core Competencies:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workspace ONE, Intune, or other UEM/MDM platforms
- Experience balancing operational support responsibilities (ticket resolution, troubleshooting) with engineering/project work
- Strong understanding of unified endpoint management platforms and architecture
- Experience with automation and scripting (Power Shell, Python, REST APIs)
- Experience with cloud identity and access management ecosystems
- Knowledge of mobile OS management across Windows, iOS/iPadOS, Android, and macOS
- Knowledge of application packaging, deployment, and patch management strategies
- Understanding of endpoint compliance, security baselines, and zero-trust deployment methodologies
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools for endpoint fleets
- Experience with VDI/EUC integration (a plus)
- Knowledge of where iPhone and Android device/system logs are located and how to retrieve them for troubleshooting
- Ability to troubleshoot both Windows and Linux endpoints; macOS troubleshooting experience a plus
- Experience troubleshooting networks, with familiarity in tunneling and other secure gateway protocols
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft MD-102/Endpoint Administrator, VMware Workspace ONE certifications)
