Position Summary

Material Planner – Procurement – Full Time

Responsible for acting as a liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners and the DB Schenker BTS fulfillment site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all commitments from demand planning groups are within the agreed product lead times.
  • Resolve delays in providing needed material within agreed timelines.
  • Manage lead times of all purchase orders placed on behalf of the customer and report on agreed lead times.
  • Expedite PO’s as needed.
  • Ensure the recommit process is followed.
  • Review the backlog report and coordinate any exclusions with suppliers; review recommits and rejected expedited requests.
  • Review suppliers’ build/ship plans to ensure commitments meet PO commit dates.
  • Identify and eliminate on‑time shipment (OTS) issues, document and report weekly.
  • Schedule orders falling outside the product’s scheduled lead time with suppliers and identify reasons for delays.
  • Monitor lead times of all POs, report on commitments, and manage process to correct issues when lead times are not obtained.
Essential Functions

Perform all job functions, including passing required background checks, clearances, drug and alcohol tests, and any federal, state or local government, airport or company‑required checks.

Assignment Complexity and Impact

Work on complex problems requiring in‑depth evaluation. Use professional judgment to solve problems creatively, impacting corporate operations and fiscal health. Interact regularly with peers, management, and senior leadership on complex matters.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

2-4 years of related experience preferred.

Skills:

Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills.

Compensation

Base pay range: $75,000.00 – $75,000.00. Final compensation determined by relevant factors.
