Responsibilities

  • Purchase items, materials, and services of varying complexity
  • Draft purchase orders and document supplier selection
  • Perform price analysis consistent with FAR and DFARS requirements
  • Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) detailing specific program requirements
  • Evaluate responses for compliance with RFQ requirements
  • Ensure file documentation is accurate and complete per Northstrat procurement policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of experience in purchasing within government contracting
  • Knowledge of procurement practices and documentation review in compliance with FAR/DFARS
  • Skilled in negotiating purchase orders and favorable terms
  • Experience with pricing and negotiation of commercial and government contracts, including FAR and DFARS regulations
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Problem‑solving and time‑management skills
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a decision‑making capacity within procurement
  • Experience with an accounting/purchasing system such as Deltek or Unanet
