The Admissions Supervisor is responsible for the operation and cleanliness of all admission operations.

Pay Rate: $15.75 per hour

Major Duties/Specific Tasks

* Supervises operation which may include opening and closing of facility, ordering and maintaining supplies, care and use of resources, and handling cash.

* Supervises work of other seasonal employees (admissions attendants, party planner) which may include scheduling, training, motivation and control.

* Ensures proper inventory of resale merchandise.

* Assists with inventory controls.

* Ensures cleanliness of entryway, lobby, restrooms, and birthday party areas (inside & out).

* Ensures NOVA Parks safety, business standards, and other standards inherent to the particular operation are being followed.

* Assists with public relations by greeting waterpark visitors, handling inquiries, and providing information and assistance, and informing patrons of rules and regulations.

* Prepare and oversee special functions.

* Prepare and maintain appropriate records.

* Perform tasks of Admissions Attendants.

* Perform manual labor and routine maintenance as directed.

* Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service training.

* Reports unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.

* Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Park Specialist, Pool Manager or Supervisor on Duty.

Minimum Qualification

* High school diploma and two years of progressively responsible experience as an Attendant or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

* Working knowledge of and experience in the customer service industry and operation of facility.

* Knowledge and experience in the operation of a retail merchandise facility.

* Working knowledge of Park Authority standards and ability to adhere to standards.

* Demonstrated supervisory skills.

* Ability to deal effectively with the public.

* Ability to be flexible in meeting a variety of demands and conditions.

* Ability to operate a cash register.

* Working knowledge of computers.

* Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

* Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks.

* Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.

* Possession of or ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications.

* Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.

* Specialized duties and assignments related to a facility may require special training and/or certifications.
