Superintendent – Telecommunications / Low Voltage
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead project teams, manage daily jobsite operations, and ensure successful delivery of telecommunications and low‑voltage installation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the on‑site liaison for customer representatives; define project scope, create estimates, plan tasks, and manage all phases through completion and customer turnover; ensure deadlines are met and projects adhere to budget, quality standards, and safety requirements; conduct job walks, quality checks, and outage‑prevention measures; prepare and maintain redlined as‑built drawings.
- Monitor project profitability and overall operational performance; review job cost postings, assist with invoicing, collections, and provide periodic reports; ensure accurate and timely completion of all project paperwork (timesheets, work orders, material transfers, change orders, tool transfers, closing packages, etc.).
- Oversee processes related to estimating, purchasing, scheduling, warehousing, and reporting; implement process improvements to increase efficiency and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary on‑site contact for customer questions and concerns; attend facility and construction meetings as required; lead team trainings, operational meetings, and collaborate with safety and training departments.
- Perform work with strong technical understanding of telecommunications systems; troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise; maintain and manage tools, vehicles, and jobsite equipment.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Lead Communications Technician or comparable role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or related technical field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project). Ability to meet company driving standards.
- Demonstrated ability to define scope of work, estimate projects, and manage tasks through completion.
- Proficiency with trade tools, including punch tools (110 and 66 block), 6/8 position combo crimp tools, Krone/3M/BIX, butt set, volt ohmmeter, 4‑pair continuity tester, 5‑gang punch tool.
- Fast‑paced, onsite role.
- Standard schedule:
Monday‑Thursday, 7:00 AM‑4:00 PM; possible overtime on Fridays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 – $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
