Position:
Deputy Program Manager (DPM)

This role supports a large, multi‑year field support contract for a classified Customer. It requires deep technical and program management expertise across multiple Task Orders and daily engagement with Sponsor and stakeholders to ensure mission needs are understood and met. The position requires on‑site work in the Dulles area at a Nightwing facility with access to closed‑area spaces and Customer networks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead program execution, oversee technical solutions, strengthen customer relationships and support employee growth.
  • Support financial, schedule and technical performance, and lead coordinated on‑contract growth activities.
  • Participate in internal and external program reviews, direct customer engagement and proposal development.
  • Manage supplier relationships and program status reporting.
  • Define program milestones, track performance against plans and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Support the Program Manager in supervising performance across multiple contract locations.
  • Work with cross‑functional, cross‑mission area and multi‑company teams to translate customer needs and technology trends into cost‑effective solutions.
  • Partner with functional leaders to drive execution and meet all program milestones.
  • Plan, budget and manage resources to meet contract requirements.
  • Implement core program management processes, including EVMS and Risk & Opportunity management.
  • Lead financial forecasting and planning activities, including AOP and EAC reviews.
  • Draft daily, monthly and quarterly reports and develop and deliver executive‑level briefings to senior leaders, internal stakeholders and the Customer.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with industry partners, customers and other stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and serve as primary contractor point of contact for Customer Program Managers, PMO personnel and partner teams when the Program Manager is unavailable.
Required Skills
  • Eight plus years of progressive experience in technical and program leadership positions for programs >$50M in value.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Customer environment, field communications, expeditionary, enterprise and non‑traditional contexts.
  • Proven track record in managing schedule, resources and budgets across a dispersed program team.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to implement new solutions in a timely manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work across diverse groups and at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including preparation and delivery of briefings for customers and senior management.
  • Leadership and team‑building skills, including leading matrixed teams.
  • Proficient computer skills covering Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Experience managing a diverse globally deployed workforce.
  • Experience managing subcontractors for goods and services.
Desired Skills
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with SharePoint or other data management and visualization tools.
  • Experience conducting OCONUS operations.
Security Clearance

Must have TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph on day one of employment and be eligible for crossover.
