About JSET Automated Technologies

JSET Automated Technologies specializes in the design, installation, and commissioning of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) for mission‑critical and industrial facilities, including large‑scale data centers. Our teams operate in fast‑paced construction environments where safety, quality, accountability, and leadership matter.

We are growing and seeking a Senior Project Manager who thrives in complex construction environments and is ready to lead both projects and people.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is a senior‑level leadership role responsible for delivering complex BMS and EPMS construction projects from award through closeout. This role owns project scope, schedule, financial performance, quality, and client relationships while serving as a key escalation point between the field and executive leadership.

Senior Project Managers at JSET do more than manage projects - they develop people, support field execution, protect project commitments, and represent JSET's standards with clients, general contractors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Financial Leadership

  • Own the full project lifecycle from kickoff through commissioning, closeout, and warranty
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with logical sequencing, critical path awareness, and labor forecasting
  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall financial performance
  • Lead contract review, buyout strategies, and vendor/subcontractor coordination
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change management, T&M tracking, and owner change requests

Field Execution & Quality

  • Partner closely with field leadership to align manpower, work plans, and look‑ahead schedules
  • Support commissioning activities, punch list closure, and turnover documentation
  • Verify installation quality, safety compliance, and documentation standards across active sites
  • Identify project risks early and elevate appropriately to protect schedule, scope, and budget

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Project Managers, APMs, and Project Engineers
  • Conduct regular one‑on‑ones, performance reviews, and development conversations
  • Serve as an escalation resource for field and project challenges
  • Partner with Operations, Safety, Logistics, HR, and Recruiting to support team success and growth

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, and commissioning partners
  • Lead coordination meetings and provide clear, professional project communication
  • Protect JSET's interests while maintaining strong working relationships with project partners
Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical, controls, or mechanical construction
  • Proven success managing large‑scale or mission‑critical construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling fundamentals, and change management
  • Experience managing project financials, labor forecasting, and cost reporting
  • Ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in fast‑paced, industrial construction environments with regional travel

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred

  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), or controls
  • Data center or critical infrastructure project experience
  • Proficiency with Procore and construction project management software
  • Experience mentoring or leading other project managers or engineers
What We're Looking For
  • A steady, professional leader who communicates clearly and directly
  • Someone who holds high standards for safety, quality, and accountability
  • A project leader who anticipates risk rather than reacts to it
  • A mentor who enjoys developing people and strengthening teams
  • A strong representative of JSET's culture on job sites and with clients
Why Join JSET
  • Competitive compensation and performance‑based incentives
  • Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match
  • Opportunity to lead high‑profile, mission‑critical projects
  • A company that values leadership, structure, and long‑term career growth
  • Direct access to operational and executive leadership
