Data Center Project Manager, Critical Projects Implementation

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep our customers’ access continuous. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activity within operational data center spaces, tackling critical infrastructure improvement projects to optimize space, power, and cooling across global facilities.

• Serve as a technical resource and project manager for Amazon data centers.
• Oversee project planning, execution, control, and completion across all disciplines including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architecture.
• Identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to operational challenges.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with company strategy.
• Monitor and report on project status, risks, and mitigation actions.

• 5+ years of construction or project management experience.
• 5+ years managing projects in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure (e.g., manufacturing, transport, utility, or hospital facilities).
• 5+ years in on‑site construction trades (mechanical, electrical, general) and vendor management.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of electrical or mechanical, or data center engineering experience.
• Proactive, independent work style with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong technical communication skills and experience managing trade‑offs and stakeholder feedback.
