Austin Grill is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to join our team. As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and overseeing the front-of-house operations to create memorable dining experiences. Responsibilities- Supervise, coordinate, and mentor front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers, to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
- Ensure that guests have a memorable dining experience by actively engaging with them, addressing any concerns or requests promptly, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Monitor service quality, presentation, and adherence to restaurant standards, including cleanliness and hygiene.
- Assist in managing inventory levels for dining room supplies and coordinate with vendors for timely restocking.
- Gather and relay guest feedback to management for continuous improvement.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant industry preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing exceptional service.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
- Basic computer skills for scheduling and reporting.
- Knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems effectively.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings as needed.
- Knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30–40 lbs (chairs, tables, trays, service items).
- Frequent walking between dining areas, service stations, and kitchen.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and twisting during service and setup.
- Visual and auditory acuity to monitor service quality, staff performance, and guest satisfaction.
- Ability to navigate crowded dining spaces safely and efficiently.
