General FunctionThe Assistant Manager I is a core member of the leadership team that drives Sunglass Hut's success. The Assistant Manager I works in partnership with the Store/Multi Store Manager to oversee all daily functions of the store, including selling, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition and retail excellence.
Major Duties And Responsibilities- Utilize all company tools to deliver sales plans, develop associates and achieve company objectives.
- Use reporting tools and business acumen to identify and address performance gaps and capitalize on successes.
- Provide ongoing coaching for all associates to support growth and create an inspirational and motivating work environment.
- Acquire talent by networking and recruiting, conducting interviews in partnership with the Store/Multi Store Manager.
- Seek opportunities for self-development as defined in an individual development plan.
- Spend a majority of time on the sales floor.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships using company tools.
- Consistently execute brand standards.
- Maintain store merchandising standards including updates or changes.
- Know product knowledge and use company learning tools to stay current on new products in fashion and performance.
- Ensure execution of operational policies and procedures.
- Ensure clear communication to the team of brand strategy including promotions, contests and incentives.
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience
- Demonstrates expertise in every aspect of store operation
- Detail-oriented
- Uses critical thinking to deliver absolute execution of operational components of the store
- Customer service and/or retail experience
- 1+ years of leadership experience
