Sales Design Associate

We are a local, independently owned and operated franchise location affiliated with Floor Coverings International, which has 300+ locations across North America and Canada. We strive to give our customers the absolute best experience, from a consultative product selection to expert installation. We work really hard to please our customers and currently maintain a 4.9-star Google rating. Our unique shop-at-home model allows customers to get new floors without leaving their homes.

That's a big reason why we are growing faster than our competitors and why we have an immediate need for an enthusiastic Sales/Design Associate.

We are looking for hard-working, service-minded individuals with great people skills who love to have fun. While this position is listed as hybrid, we need this person to run appointments in Northern Virginia so successful candidates will reside in the Northern Virginia area. To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be self-motivated, an independent worker, a great communicator, highly organized, and enjoy a team atmosphere.

We are looking for an individual who isn’t afraid to work hard, including some evenings and weekends. The right individual will play a key part in the expansion of this company and will have the opportunity to grow as the company grows.

• Strong customer service and communication skills to understand and address client needs effectively
• Pleasant, respectful, and likeable demeanor
• Proficiency in design consultation, space planning, and an eye for aesthetic details
• Sales and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals and meet sales targets
• Basic knowledge of flooring materials, installation processes, and home improvement trends is desired
• Comes with either an established network of referral partners or an eagerness to network and grow relationships that will drive future business
• Proficiency with computer software for presentations and documenting proposals
• Previous experience in interior design, home services sales, or a related field is highly advantageous
• A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for client visits
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in design, business, or a related field is a plus
