Multiple Openings Available

Salesfolks has been retained to recruit multiple Healthcare Inside Sales Representatives for an established pharmaceutical and medical-supply distributor in Sterling, Virginia.

This is a full-time, onsite sales opportunity for people who enjoy prospecting, building customer relationships, closing business, and growing accounts over time.

The employer has operated in the healthcare distribution industry for more than 17 years and serves hospitals, inpatient pharmacies, surgery centers, infusion centers, long-term care providers, government agencies, and other licensed healthcare organizations across the United States.

The employer’s identity will be shared with qualified candidates before a formal interview is scheduled.

The Opportunity

This is not traditional pharmaceutical manufacturer sales.

You will not travel from physician office to physician office promoting a single branded medication. Instead, you will work from the Sterling office and sell a broad portfolio of pharmaceutical and medical products directly to licensed healthcare organizations nationwide.

Sales representatives manage customer relationships from initial outreach through completed orders, repeat business, and long-term account growth.

The opportunity is straightforward:

If you can remain focused on revenue-generating activity, create productive customer conversations, follow up consistently, and sell, you can do very well in this role.

This is an active sales position. It is not a passive customer service role, an order-taking position, or a narrow appointment-setting job.

You will be expected to prospect, develop opportunities, earn customer trust, close business, and build relationships that can grow in value over time.

Responsibilities What You Will Sell

The employer distributes a broad range of products used by healthcare organizations, including:

  • Prescription pharmaceuticals
  • Biological products
  • Injectable medications
  • Over-the-counter products
  • Medical and surgical supplies
  • Sterile and clean-room supplies
  • Personal protective equipment

A background in chemistry, biology, pharmacology, or clinical medicine is not required. The employer operates as a healthcare supply‑chain and distribution specialist and will train new employees on its products, customers, processes, and market.

Who You Will Sell To

Customers and prospective customers may include:

  • Hospitals and health systems
  • Inpatient and institutional pharmacies
  • Surgery centers
  • Specialty healthcare facilities
  • Other licensed healthcare buyers

The most effective representatives become trusted resources to customers by being responsive, accurate, persistent, and dependable.

What You Will Do

As a Healthcare Inside Sales Representative, you will:

  • Prospect for new customers by phone, email, and other approved channels
  • Contact healthcare buyers, pharmacy personnel, procurement professionals, and other decision‑makers
  • Develop new business opportunities within an assigned market or account base
  • Manage and grow relationships with current customers
  • Re‑engage inactive or past customers when appropriate
  • Learn customer purchasing patterns, product needs, and sourcing challenges
  • Present relevant pharmaceutical and medical‑supply solutions
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes and sales opportunities
  • Convert customer inquiries and conversations into completed business
  • Develop repeat purchasing relationships
  • Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and activity information in the company’s CRM
  • Work with internal sourcing, pricing, customer service, operations, and leadership teams
  • Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally
  • Meet established sales, activity, and revenue expectations
  • Stay organized and maintain disciplined follow‑up across multiple accounts and opportunities
What Success Looks Like

Successful representatives consistently focus their time on activities that can create revenue.

That includes:

  • Starting new customer conversations
  • Following up on open opportunities
  • Preparing and advancing quotes
  • Reconnecting with current and former customers
  • Identifying additional customer…
