Senior Meteorological Test & Evaluation Specialist
Integrity is seeking a Senior Meteorological Test & Evaluation Specialist to join our team on-site in Sterling, VA. This position plays a critical role in testing, evaluating, and maintaining meteorological observing equipment and weather data collection systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, scientific rigor, and leadership capabilities to guide test missions and ensure high-accuracy environmental data collection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the test and evaluation of meteorological observing equipment and weather-based collection systems.
- Analyze and interpret complex meteorological data to assess sensor performance and system accuracy.
- Apply meteorological theory to support the development and improvement of observational methods, techniques, and instrumentation.
- Operate, program, and maintain scientific equipment and laboratory instrumentation.
- Lead project teams, delegating tasks effectively to achieve mission goals while working independently with limited supervision.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, seek out innovative solutions, and perform high-quality technical writing for test plans, reports, and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physical Science or a related major required;
Master of Science (MS) preferred. - Experience: 6+ years of direct experience in the test and evaluation of meteorological observing equipment.
- Technical Skills:
- Practical hands-on experience with weather data collection systems and weather-based platforms.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of measuring meteorological phenomena using scientific instrumentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong technical writing capabilities.
- Certifications:
- Must obtain operational, programming, and maintenance certifications on laboratory equipment upon assignment to laboratory work.
- Must obtain a Certified Calibration Technician Certification within 180 days of onboarding.
- Work Location: Must be willing and able to work on-site in the Sterling, VA office daily.
