As a Security Officer - Unarmed Walking Patrol in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. You will document observations, communicate clearly with team members and site contacts, and respond to situations with professionalism and care.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and perimeter access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, disorderly conduct and/or medical situations, and notify appropriate internal contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies and other key areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and support visitor management and/or employee access processes per site-specific policy.
• Complete timely security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with coordinating responses to security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
