How This Role Works:

* Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

* Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with property management and/or emergency personnel.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.

* Monitor access points and activity at the location, assisting with visitor screening, badge checks, and/or vehicle monitoring in support of established property protocols.

* Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

* A guard card or license is preferred.

* The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

* Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

* Access control and badge experience is preferred.

* CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
