Security Officer Hospital Patrol Specialist – Sterling, VA

Pay Rate: $22.71 / Hour
Job Schedule: Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM;
Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM;
Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM;
Thu 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM;
Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe activity across the location, offering directions and assistance while supporting a professional and courteous environment.
- Communicate with healthcare personnel, visitors, and/or local responders as needed regarding security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and site procedures.
- Must have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
- Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be 21 or more years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
- Must have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
