AWS Data Center Security team is seeking a creative, innovative, results‑oriented program manager located in Northern Virginia/Greater Washington D.C area to lead security and security‑systems projects and programs in the data center environment. The role requires managing difficult and interdependent projects with regional impact, ensuring proper security mitigations are selected and implemented, and collaborating cross‑functionally to meet AWS physical security standards.

• Project Management for physical security systems related to new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Preparation of the physical security project lifecycle management including bid packages, specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendor management, budget, change orders, and close‑out documentation.
• Maintain contemporary knowledge of emerging physical security technologies to assess their applicability within the AWS physical security program.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for leadership to make strategic decisions regarding technology and procedure.
• Balance performance metrics such as vendor service delivery performance, actual spend vs. budget variance, cost reduction goal attainment, post‑installation defect rates, and physical security program analysis.
• Manage vendors for onboarding, RFQ, bid, contract, QA/QC, and support processes.
• Effectively and accurately manage multi‑million dollar budgets for infrastructure projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate across teams and support global initiatives.

• Experience working on physical security design and implementation of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.

• Ability to communicate/brief effectively with both technical and non‑technical individuals regarding physical security standards and system designs.
• Experience delivering physical security projects or programs within an enterprise setting.
• Background in Physical Security Design, Security Systems Deployment, Physical Security Operations, Security Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or physical security designs.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross‑functional teams across geographies and business units.
• PSP, CPP, PMP Certification; training in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED); certification or experience with Lenel Access Control System.

The base salary range for this position is USD 80,000.00 –  annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
