Security Officer – Security Clearance Reception Console

Location:

Sterling, VA. Part-Time role. Pay: $25.00 / Hour.

Job Schedule:

• Saturday: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Sunday: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology‑focused location.
• Monitor front desk activity, manage access control processes, verify credentials, and document visitor arrivals, departures, and deliveries in accordance with site guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
• Answer questions, provide directions, and support a professional front desk presence while helping to deter unauthorized access and security-related issues.
• Complete required reports, logs, and communication updates related to front desk operations, incidents, and daily security-related activities.

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
